At Photocraft Inc. we design and manufacture rotary optical encoders and photo-electronic sensors to meet the specific application needs of manufacturers having special motion control application requirements. We deliver unique, competitively priced products that are designed and built for long term reliability. Our History Photocraft originated in 1974 as an engineering firm, designing and manufacturing custom photo-electronic sensors and controls for industrial automation applications. By 1978 a line of encoders, including the Pulse-Position-Indicator, had been developed to specifically address the needs of the material handling industry. By 1990 Photocraft offered a complete line of shaft and wheeled encoders, and had earned a reputation for producing innovative and durable products. In the 1990's a line of unique absolute encoders and "programmable" encoders were added to the offering. Hollow shaft encoders were added in the 2000's. We continue to enhance the capabilities and quality of our products. Products The company designs and manufactures rotary incremental and absolute encoders, and industrial photo-electronic sensors.
